Maybelline Lash Sensation Mascara Blackest Black review

Hello pretty people!

So if you all know me, you would know that I love mascara I think it is just a perfect way to give that drama without trying so hard! I have been using different kinds of mascara and I came across this product of Maybelline and I must tell you its AMAAAZINNGG!

This product was launched by Maybelline in 2014, and comes in 3 different shades.

1) 00 Blackest black
2) 01 Very black
3) 02 Brown black

I bought 00 blackest black washable mascara from Mynykaa. This product is available for 500 rupees (it can vary according to the place you buy).

Product claims: This fresh liquid formula captures lashes from root to tip for a full-fan effect. Exclusive fanning brush with ten layers of bristles reveals layers of lashes for a sensational full-fan effect. It is also suitable for contact lens wearers.

My experience:

The product comes in a pretty rose-gold packaging, Maybelline has kept the shape of the product intact like other mascara of theirs. however this product has a very subtle and cutter look. I mean just look at this, isnt it just pure love?

Brush: I am loving the curve of this brush it has a fan kind of head and two faced bristles, small on one side and longer on the other. the curved brush captures the lashes from root to tip making eyelashes look longer without clumping. The small bristles widens the lashes where as the longer evenly applies the mascara on all the lashes. Also, because of the shape of the brush one stroke is enough to cover all the lashes.

Formula: I think the consistency is perfect, neither too watery nor clumpy and this formula makes it super easy to apply.  I am not a fan of applying two coats but with this mascara even if you apply 2 coats I am pretty sure it will not be clumpy.

I bought a washable one cause those waterproof ones kill me every time I have to remove them!! Here is the before after picture for you guys..

After:

My rating: 9/10
My recommendation: If I want to wear it on a rainy day I would surely avoid it but there is waterproof variant in this so you surely can try that. I am not leaving this one soon unless I find a better version. ;)

Detoxing is the key!

Hey lovelies,

It's a Sunday and finally we have some time off work to focus on self! In this hot weather your skin, no matter how good it is, needs some refreshments and using a moisturizer, Face-wash is not enough. If you find your skin dry/itchy or just too oily, your skin is shouting for detoxing!

Detoxing is nothing but a process of abstaining or getting rid of unhealthy substances. So, your body as well as your skin requires detoxing and if your skin is not acting right, there are chances that you need both body and skin detoxing.

Body detoxing:
In today's world we are exposed to a lot of harmful substances that are polluting our body like, polluted air, food with lot of preservatives and colors, sweeteners, make-up products, contaminated water etc. So, when you stop using some of these things, your body will improve over time. However, some of these things are inevitable and are of need in day to day life. First step to do here is to stop the sweeteners and food with a lot of fat/oil. You wont believe your body will show signs of improvement in only few days! If you want a healthy body and healthy skin you need to take care of your diet and remove refined sugar. Once you have that, step two is to remove all dirt from your body and, water does that for you!

Have a lot of water. If you get tired of plain water you can add natural flavors to it, my personal favorite is lemon and mint :). For a week, cut off dairy products, sugar (and everything that has sugar!!), coffee/tea, grains, and oil. Eat green/raw vegetables, unprocessed dry fruits and green tea. Also, exercise, it will help throw away all the toxins from your body and it will also help in reducing some fat (all the plus points right?). There are many detox plans available on the internet these days. One can follow any that suits their body but do consult a doctor before going ahead with any plan.

Skin detoxing:
If your body contains a lot of toxins it will be seen on your skin for sure and if you are healthy your skin will show the glow ;). Skin needs room for breathing and not giving it enough air and care, skin will react and become super dry or oily. So, avoid a lot of tight clothing and if you have to wear it, keep it to minimum hours of the day. Use makeup that is made up of natural products and is not too harsh on your skin. Moisturize your skin whenever possible. After all this, pamper your skin by detoxing it once or twice a week. Taking a warm water bath with some Epsom Salt or Baking Soda does the trick. For face, using a clay mask works wonder, well you need to do it twice a week for a gorgeous looking and healthy skin.

For face, there are many detoxing masks in the market and some you can also make at home. Usually I use Tomato puree + Honey. It is easy, quick and these products are usually available at work. Just keep the mask for 20 minutes and your skin will look soooo refreshed. Try it and thank me later ;) There are other DIY face masks too like Aloe Vera Gel and Sugar.

Here is my before after picture of my DIY mask of Tomato and Honey.

Tips and ideas for Pre-wedding photoshoot

Hello Beautiful people!!!

Lets accept it we all have imagined ourselves (I mean girls) dancing in white crop top and skirt and singing 'mere khwabon mein jo aaye'.. so when we are finally getting married to the love of our life, of course we have some kind of expectation on how our love story will be pictured and remembered. If you planning for pre-wedding shoot anytime soon there things that you need to take care of!

Here are some tips (with pictures) for you pretty people!

1) Invest in a good photographer

When I say invest, its not just money!! Invest your time in finding a perfect photographer who is well versed about your needs and requirements. Look for someone who has done something like that before, someone whose work you have seen before and someone who has good quality products to use! DO YOUR RESEARCH! If you don't then you will forever regret that decision and be unhappy with each wedding related post you see on social media. Once you choose the photographer, make sure you sit with him/her to explain your needs and you both have that understanding. Well researched photographer will create magic using his/her creativity (Check my photographer's creativity in the picture posted below). BTW! The picture was shot in broad day light.

2) Location

Many people do a shoot at places where their love story started, where they used to meet etc. If you have certain places then do visit them cause those places have your memories and being at those places will give you those feels which will beautifully get captured in the camera. Furthermore, if you have seen shoots on social media or internet and loved, do share it with your photographer. Make a list of poses that you both are comfortable in, or are must in your story. Look for place you want to capture in the background. It can be a palace, swimming pool, resort, beach anything that fascinates you two. But do remember the commuting time. Yes, there are many options but you cant reach everywhere (unless you are superman :p). The point is to make the most of the place you are in and to enjoy at the same time!

3) Clothes

Clothing is something very important while shooting for prewedding. Clothing should first match with your partner (obviously) and it should also match the location. So lets say if you are shooting at a palace, you would want a nice traditional outfit.. Saree with a long pallu can be a cherry on the top. If you are shooting at a beach then shorts or a nice dress can go well. Clothes can be color coordinated but too matchy matchy can also sometimes spoil the look however, contrasting colors can make wonders and so that's a sure thing to try. Props can also be incorporated while shooting. Some websites have ready props for such occasions so if you are not a DIY person you can always buy them online.

Personal note: Do try all the outfits before you go and make sure you have matching accessories along with you. Also, keep an extra outfit for any problems that may occur.

4) Timings

Don't assume you can shoot for the entire day - changing 4-5 outfits and still smile for the whole day? Get enough rest a day before. If you are travelling far, reach a day early cause you don't want to be tired on the shoot day. Also, the best shots are taken at sunrise or at the time of sunset (changing sky colors add soooo much to the pictures). So yes, you need to get up early! annnd if you are shooting at a public place like a palace, then be there super early cause otherwise you will get aunties and uncles at the background photobombing and I am sure none of us want these strangers in our fairy tale.

5) Poses

I think it is very important to get a sense of understanding what kind of poses you want. If you are not well versed, internet is there to help. Poses can also be decided on the basis of the location and the clothing. Again I would mention research is the key! Make a folder of the kind of pictures you want, kind of poses you want and share it with your partner and your photographer. Choose poses that enhances your body, clothes, location and most importantly which highlight your chemistry.
